Matt Cutts: Why doesn’t Google use reCAPTCHA?

Video transcription

We got an interesting question from Queens New York LA noire Alan Christian asked:
Why doesn’t google use recaptcha?
I think that’s a perfectly valid question and since recaptcha was recently acquired by google it seems entirely appropriately entirely appropriate that we would use them sometimes it takes time to move things over and some captures are better you know whether audio or the current one that we have for different reasons.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we integrated recaptcha in more ways within Google because it does do something really nice which is it helps digitize a lot of information and a lot of OCR errors in scanning so I think that it recapture is a fantastic thing I’m glad that the team has joined google and it wouldn’t surprise me if we integrated recapture in a lot more in different ways over time.

Quick Answer: They probably will, eventually
